    Hello supporters!

We are currently exploring this idea and looking for the best solution.

To better understand all the related needs, I would like to ask you a few things:

    1. Can you list the most typical changes you need to make to the page template and its head section?

    2. Is it ok for you just to be able to modify the Master page or do you need to be able to somehow modify also common pages and their head sections – via their templates?

    3. Do you prefer to be able to see and modify some markup directly or do think specific web parts with properties that are then injected into the markup are a better solution?

    4. Who and how often is going to do these changes? The developer suring development phase or a content editor during content authoring process?

    5. If we only talk about being…

A view of Downloads, or votes, or something to indicate 'this is being used by people' would be really helpful, especially as a Marketplace web part developer who has no view other than comments, as to whether my controls are actually being used.

I've taken this into my own hands in most cases at this point - I have div-class (Bootstrap-compatible) row and column layout controls, and that sort of thing.
I'd still much prefer to see these built-in - I wonder how many people actually would still use fixed-pixel web parts if CSS-compatible versions existed.

I appreciate Kentico having all of its webparts and form controls available, and would probably re-add all of them to any given site (though, I'd also add the default page types, in order to have access to things like the Page doctype, Events, blogs, news, etc) - I don't mind the email templates because if I don't want them it's easy to delete them completely. It's less simple to delete the sample sites, since it drops folders in various places in the filesystem that don't seem to delete when you delete the sample sites from Kentico.

I don't know if this was actually implemented, but a widget version of this would be extremely useful.
Currently, if I have widgets that I want to show in specific configurations, I have to either create duplicate, very similar widgets (with defaulted values), or create small pages (containing no markup and just the widgets) and use the Page Placeholder as a widget to drop them in on Widget Zones.

For example, if I have a series of links I'll be posting in the sidebars of pages related to them, with a specific message or image, and link and such. I want to be able to change one of these and have it adjust all of the relevant buttons. To do this I created a folder with a number of "Button" pages in it, and I use a Content Placeholder widget to display the HTML of those buttons on the relevant pages.

Having native functionality to do this via "widget presets" or something like that, would be great.

    Did this happen in v8?

This says it was planned for the next version, back in 2011 - did this happen?

What I would really like to see out of this is recurring events that can be set based on day of a week of a month - 3rd friday of each month, for example.
See Google Calendar for a good example of this implementation.
