  1. Allow A/B and Multivariant tests in MVC without the page-builder

I'd suggest that you allow new tests to be created "ad-hoc" in the CMS "A/B Tests" application.

The CMS user should be able to define a list of variant names within an ad-hoc test. These will be the variants.

Then in the MVC application Layout & Views something like this should be possible...

    if(@Html.Kentico().ABTest("MyTestCodename").Variant == "MyVariantName"){
// Add or change markup based on variant in use
    }

Additionally, having the ability to do log conversions against the current variant from within the controller would be required.

The segmentation options should still be available in the CMS UI.

  2. Allow role base permissions to email widget, so specific role's user can only change values.

Allow role base permissions to email widget, so specific role's user can only change values.

lets say, We Have multiple user roles,
    Admin, Sub Admin, dealer.

Admin creates Email campaign, and email using email template.
For this it uses email widgets, now Admin to restrict users from editing email widget data.
    Ex:-
Admin created email and add header Widget along with some other widgets and set its value.
It notify Sub Admin & dealer user role that email is created they can change if they want but Admin don't want them to change Header widget value.

    so for that I…

  3. eDM Send page

It would be great if on the Send page there is an at-a-glance table showing all the pertinent information needed before hitting Send. It should show the main information required for sending (eg filename, subject line, sender, sender address, reply to address, contact groups and numbers, opt-out groups etc. This isn’t provided in Kentico, so I need to go through different tabs and pages to double-check information (eg an eDM was sent this week with an incorrect subject line).

The ‘make sure’ list in Kentico Send page is more of a checklist than information.

The file attached provides an example…

  4. Select language when adding a link to our newsletter.

    Fix this situation

    Description:
Situation: a multi-language website (FR - EN - NL) and communication that is sent in both French and Dutch through the Kentico EMS.

In our pages application we mostly set our culture to NL (default).
When turning to the email marketing application and setting up a new email campaign in French, I come across this inconvenience: when I try to insert a link to one of our pages, I see only the pages in Dutch. Quit inconvenient while completing a French email.

The only way I can solve this write now is by opening the pages…

  5. email priority

Kentico adds to email from email marketing this properties:
    X-Priority: 5
    Priority: non-urgent
    Importance: low

But I can not influence it. Please, add settings for it.

  6. Ability to seperate email based on type to different SMTP servers

Sending all mail generated from Kentico through the same (set of) SMTP server(s) is a bad idea. Why? If marketing emails result in service being throttled by the SMTP service (it happens), it also slows down delivery of transactional email.

Perhaps this could be set up to send to different sub-domains e.g. mktg.example.com & store.example.com.

Or email templates have a tag that is used for determining which service they get forward to.

Either way, this can help to seperate not only issues when they arise, but also reporting etc.

If Kentico is serious about email marketing, I think this is…

  7. Add a culture setting for pre-computing week analytics data

Currently the web analytics of Kentico use the en-US culture to store week analytics data. Which means a week starts on Sunday and ends on Saturday by default.

If a customer uses a different culture such as nl-NL, the graph period selector uses the international standard of Monday as the start day and Sunday as the last day of the week.

Selecting this will however result in a period of 2 weeks, since the weeks are rounded, which can be very confusing for the customer.

Preferably there would be an option to select the culture in which the week analytics…

  8. Provide analytics on form autoresponder emails

When someone fills out a form and an autoresponder is sent, we have no visibility into open rates, click rates, unsubscribes, etc. In a recent campaign, we were unable to provide relevant stats to our client. Email autoresponders consistently show the highest engagement rates of any email campaigns. Tracking the results of these autoresponders is a must-have! Thanks - Eric

  9. Make Marketing Automation multi-tenancy friendly

I understand not many EMS instances will be multi-tenancy but Kentico touts to have a multi-tenancy platform but none of the marketing automation workflows support multi-tenancy. For instance if I have the Dancing Goat site and the Corporate Site running on the same instance, I can see all the marketing automation workflows in both instances. This should not be the case. You can leave the workflow as a global workflow but create a linking table or scope with that site's ID in it for workflows of type "automation".

  10. Restoring a Forms from Recycle Bin should restore the data too

When a Form is deleted and put into the Recycle bin, the data that was already created is not saved. Restoring the Form therefore does not restore the Data.
The users however expect that not only the form definition, but also the form data will be restored.

  11. More powerful A/B testing: To allow for testing of journeys and product pages

Currently the platform only supports 're-direct' type tests: Tests where separate pages are used (each page is a variation).

We would like to run these type of tests:
    - A test that runs over multiple pages of a funnel. e.g. changes are made on every page in a checkout, or on a contact form and a thank-you page.
    - A test that runs over all product pages (via regex targeting).

These type of tests are often required, and are very valuable.

  12. ContactJobTitle and ContactCompanyName should be increased to 255 character length.

ContactJobTitle and ContactCompanyName should be increased to 255 character length. We have it configured to have user's information passed to the Contact Management database when they register but 100 characters for Company Name and 50 for Title are too small. They should be atleast 255.

  13. URLs in Newsletter

    DESCRIPTION:

Settings / URLs and SEO / Redirect invalid case URLs to their correct versions

There is an option "Redirect all requests to lower case URLs"

This is the best setting for SEO and it is fine until now.

PROBLEM is with newsletters. It would be fine to create an exception for them. E.g. checkbox DO NOT USE THIS RULE IN NEWSLETTERS

If you put the link (e.g. Google Sheet, that uses lower and upper cases) into newsletter´s body, all characters in the link are redirect to lower case.

All is fine in Draft, but if you send it to…

  14. Increase the size of the "Position" and "Title" contact fields in the Contact database

We capture these fields from fields in registration but they tend to be way longer than the current definitions in the Contact Management system. When we pass this information from registration to the contact database it gets lost if it exceeds the length. We have to manually add it back in and let it get truncated. Would be good if both were 255 that way we can not lose good data on our users and their activities.

  15. Ability to customize facebook og and twitter card metadata within the existing Metadata section of the Properties tab

There is already a functioning area to hold and edit metadata information with good inheritance rules. Can the functionality be expanded to include metadata for common social networks such as facebook and twitter? This is a widely requested feature by clients and the Metadata section in the Properties tab seems like a natural fit.

  16. Integrate Newsletter subscription with Biz Forms

It would be great if we could integrate into a Biz Form a check box that a user checks to indicate that they want to receive the site newsletter.

This means a user filling in a for can subscribe in the one place instead of then having to go and subscribe to the Newsletter separately.

    Thanks
    James

    Hello!

In order to inspect this suggestion further, could you share few comments?

What is the most common scenario? A simple check box with a predefined specific newsletter?

Should the subscription be avilable only after the complete form is filled and sent?

What do you think of the currently available solution – creating a Marketing Automation process, which is triggered by a form submission, can check if a specific checkbox is checked and based on this subscribes the contact to a newsletter?

  17. Campaigns - URL shortener after creating a URL with the URL builder

Give the ability to also immediately shorten a URL after the creation of it via the URL builder in Campaigns. I now use Bitly but then need to copy-paste the URL first.

  18. Campaigns - ability to also select bookmarks when adding an existing page

When using longer pages with bookmarks to focus on certain paragraphs, you want to be able to also add these as page content when selecting a page in Campaigns. Now only possible to select pages and content types.

  19. Social Media Icons at top of website

It would be nice to have our social media icons at the top of the site. Even if the icons are smaller than they currently are. I think it is important to have these links available and visible for visitors even if they do not scroll through the site. All of our competitors have this feature and I would like to see it added to our templates.

  20. Allow use of different SMTP servers for Marketing and Transactional e-mails.

Hello, every e-mail marketing expert I asked, told me that it is necessary to send Marketing and Transactional e-mails using different infrastructure. That is why I was very surprissed to find out, that Kentico does not allow to specify which SMTP servers it shoud use for Transactional and which for Marketing e-mails.
Is there a chance to make it available please?
