If you could add something to Kentico, what would it be and why?

Exporting a part of the tree

It would be great to export a sub set of the tree.
As an example export the documents from "~/e-commerce/shoppingcartsteps/%"

This way you can easily create an export containing the shoppingcart templates and the documents, so you don't have to create those documents by hand.

Would make releases easier in my opinion.

Best regards!

I've often felt that the export process should be in perspective to the page. I want to export a page, with it's layout, template, and content in a neat little package.

This would be a wonderful feature for migrating subsets of a content tree to a live site.
I've tried (with mixed results) creating a 2nd site on the same live Kentico instance, importing all content from the dev site to that new site, then copying the content from the new site to the existing live site, but it seems like it should be easier. It's also problematic if there are changes to both documents and templates.

    Hi Radek,

Cool, there is some functionality like this, that is in the staging module, however not all our clients use staging, so I hope you can adapt this to the Import/Export functionality :)

    Best regards,
    Albert
