  1. Visual e-mail builder for marketers to replace current e-mail template editing experience

    Make a visual drag and drop editor for e-mail templates that could be used for static issues, dynamic issues, marketing automation communications, and on-line form auto-responders (basically all points of e-mail in EMS). The key to this would be to now to have to have content admins and marketers know macros to build e-mail templates.

    It seems like the parts of the on-line form builder or widgets could be re-used to create this solution.

    I firmly believe that this is needed for EMS to complete with other marketing automation platforms.

    • Personalize content in dynamic newsletters for each Contact

      Within dynamic newsletters (based on a web page) I would like to use personalization of the content for each Contact individually (per recipient). Now it is not easily possible as only Subscriber-related macros are resolved individually and rest of the macros in the dynamic newsletter are resolved once per e-mail. I would like to resolve Contact-related macros indivudually (per recipient) so that I can personalize content per recipient (Contact).

        Hello!

        To further evaluate if such a functionality could be achieved while preserving performance of email generation (creating all emails one by one from scratch would degrade the performance significantly), could you please share some insights?

        What are the most required scenarios of such personalization – could you share some examples you use all the time?

        Would these be just simple inline differences or completely different blocks or even whole zones?

        Would also the layout and appereance differ?

        Would personalization based strictly on Personas do the job?

      • Paging / Steps within a Form

        It would be nice to have steps within a form. So you can fill in a few fields and then click on next and get the second half of the form.

        • Integrate Newsletter subscription with Biz Forms

          It would be great if we could integrate into a Biz Form a check box that a user checks to indicate that they want to receive the site newsletter.

          This means a user filling in a for can subscribe in the one place instead of then having to go and subscribe to the Newsletter separately.

            Hello!

            In order to inspect this suggestion further, could you share few comments?

            What is the most common scenario? A simple check box with a predefined specific newsletter?

            Should the subscription be avilable only after the complete form is filled and sent?

            What do you think of the currently available solution – creating a Marketing Automation process, which is triggered by a form submission, can check if a specific checkbox is checked and based on this subscribes the contact to a newsletter?

            Regular email templates support plain text alternatives (multi-part mime types); however email marketing templates and issues do not. This is an essential feature of any email marketing system because it significantly enhances the non-spam signature of a message; our clients expect this to be available.

              Hello,

              we would like to introduce support for plain text in marketing emails together with Email builder.

              How do you guys usually compose the plain-text version?

              Do you use some tools to strip tags from already composed HTML email or do you write the plain text version from scratch?

              Are there any capabilities or features you expect from plain-text emails?

              How do you see the need for Watch-HTML support in 2017?

            • Apply Newsletter CSS Inline

              For email newsletter to work correctly on the widest variety of email clients, CSS must be inlined.

              This is a widely known issue, but Kentico CMS does not appear to handle this requirement.

              When creating newsletters in Kentico, there needs to be a checkbox option to ‘Inline CSS’. Without this, the newsletter function is not usable unless the sender of the newsletter is in control of all mail clients that will be used to view the newsletter. This might be the case with a corporation, but is not practical when sending newsletters…

                We are currently evaluating how to provide CSS inlining for the Email builder. If you have first-hand experience with some libraries or services, which you would like to recommend, we’ll be glad to hear that!

              • Dynamics CRM Marketing Automation Native Integration

                As a Microsoft Partner and integrator, a large number of our clients are using Dynamics CRM (Cloud and On-Premise). They are looking for a CMS with a fully-integrated marketing solution. Marketo and Click Dimensions are often selected as partially-integrated solutions. If Kentico EMS provided a native marketing integration with Dynamic CRM, we'd be able to market and sell the total package, improving both the user experience and the client experience.

                  Hi guys,

                • Provide analytics on form autoresponder emails

                  When someone fills out a form and an autoresponder is sent, we have no visibility into open rates, click rates, unsubscribes, etc. In a recent campaign, we were unable to provide relevant stats to our client. Email autoresponders consistently show the highest engagement rates of any email campaigns. Tracking the results of these autoresponders is a must-have! Thanks - Eric

                    I would like to be able track how various (personalization) variants and/or contacts with Personas assigned contribute to conversions. To understand if the personalization is set up correctly (meaning it leads to more conversions, etc.)

                      For the Forms area, it would be nice to make the Redirect to url field, a URL Selector form control and not be a text box. This way we can point to a page in the CMS Tree without problems, but also be able to put Macro's in the URL path.

                        Hi Ilesh, I agree with you that within Forms module there can be a lot of UX improvements. Path or URL selector is definitely nice improvement for Redirect to URL field. Waiting for more votes. Thank you!

                      • Detecting soft vs. hard bounces

                        Is it possible for Kentico to include or to look at the smtp reply codes when looking at the bounced emails, instead of only using the special key. This will mean that the task will look in the specified mailbox and look at the SMTP code and determine the type of bounce.                           Allow synchronization of personas, scoring or contact groups. We would like to be able to define a persona, scoring or contact group in the dev environment and push them to a production site (where they would be recalculated using the production site's contacts).

                            In a from setting it can be specified what action should be performed after a from is submitted(message, redirect, ...). In would be nice to be able to specify this behaviour also on alternative forms. (Also submit button text.)

                              Emails in queue could have a time to be sent. It should work similar way as scheduled tasks do. Without time provided they would be sent ASAP.

                                I'm having trouble with passing the referral source to Google analytics. It would be nice to have the ability for bizform submissions to trigger an event on Google analytics upon successful submission (After validation)

                                  Online marketing is performed by different users in different time zones. Each of these needs to be sure what date/time they are scheduling emails for or reviewing activities from. The Online Marketing modules must translate server times into their chosen time zones, and into the site time zone by default.

                                    I have custom page type with field "file". Kentico doesn't track download of this file. Only download of CMS.File is tracked.

                                        When I create a report in Kentico and I view the report I get the option to save it as a Excel/CSV, etc., but when I subscribe to the report I do not have an option to have the report attached to the e-mail as a Excel/CSV file instead of the data in the e-mail

                                          When contact assigned to group in contact group, there are no field in database to identified when this contact assigned to the group. As a result, we do not know when contact assigned and as a result reporting to show how many contact assigned to group by this month, week, day not able to generate.
