  1. Custom table description

It would be nice if you there could be a text description for a custom table. This could be displayed at the top of the table data list to describe the purpose of the table, or to give instructions for data entry.

I'm thinking this could be either an additional field under a custom table's "General" settings, or an alternative form (with a custom layout containing only text) using a reserved keyword (like 'filter','insert','update' or 'newculture')

  2. The ability to see what webparts are using particular transformations

It would be a welcome addition to the kentico interface to be able to see where a certain transformation is being used. This could be implemented the same way as in pages were you can see what documents are using a particular page type. This would aid in the changing of transformations so we can track of what those changes might be affecting.

  3. CSS List Menu - Additional Class Property for <ul>

As you know, you can add css selectors to first, last, hover, mouseout, mouseover, and even add an id to the <ul>, within the web part properties.

But why do you not allow css selectors to be added to the <ul>? jQuery is the only option to add classes to the <ul>.

Just a suggestion, since you already have so many places to add css classes. Why not on the <ul> too? Also, because of better css techniques, you don’t really need many of the other options for adding css classes, if you have a class at the top level…

  4. Add "reset to default" button to widget properties pop-up

When setting default values to widget properties that are hidden, there is no way to reset the property value if the widget default values are changed.

For example, when adding 10 instances of a widget, they will have the hidden field values set as defined in the widget properties.
If the default values are then changed, all 10 instances of the widget need to be removed and re-added to the pages.

By introducing a "reset to default" button, the hidden field values (or all field values) could be "refreshed", without the need to re-add the widget.

  5. Improve widget display in rich text editor

Editors have difficulty differentiating widgets in the rich text editor / CKEditor, especially in large amounts of content. For example, the BlogPostBody field may contain multiple instances of our "Article Image" widget, but they all appear as only an icon.

I don't know what the limitations are, and realize there may be efficiency issues since the lifecycle of the widget and web part have to run for the widget to display, but I'll put forward a couple solution ideas:

Option 1) Have "Show preview in editor" checkbox and preview dimension fields in widget instance properties. Instead of the widget thumbnail,…

  6. Include attachments in site analytics

Currently there is no record of document attachment navigation. As these files are not located in a library or a file type, they are not recorded as a navigation. This metric is important to our business as we have implemented automated PDF document production for our pages and would like to understand how often these attachments are downloaded.

  7. Create culture aliases with slash (/) e.g. ca/fr (French - Canada)

I would like the ability to add culture aliases to be used as the prefix for the URL with a slash in the alias. The format would be CountryCode/LanguageCode. Currently the system allows you to save the culture alias in that format but visiting the URL will produce a 404 error.

  9. Enable copying of the content of the widgets

Unfortunatelly, if the widget is copied and placed in the content page, it lose its content. The copy has only the settings, but the content is lost.
    Can you change this behavior?

  10. Forms - Ability to use a form without the page context

I would like to be able to use the forms sometimes without the page context. Also a direct preview (URL) would be appreciated.

  11. improved side by side comparison view of amended text

it would save us a lot of time if there was a more visual way to configure the side-by-side version comparison i.e. yellow highlighting of added text, changes to documents (PDFs) added/removed (via a widget), images etc.

Currently we can only see changes to text through text in red or red strike-through. we can't see any changes to the formatting i.e. styling applied to headings. we have a lot of changes daily and have to troll through looking at everything

  13. Calendar: Make different colour codes for different departments' events. For example PSP Sports - blue; PSP REC - green; MFRC - yellow.

Calendar: Make different colour codes for different departments' events. For example PSP Sports - blue; PSP REC - green; MFRC - yellow; Health Promotion - orange.

This would give the viewer a way to view the calendar events in the category they are interested in. Finding events and dates would become easier.

  14. Migrate documents from one document type to another

It would be great to be able to migrate documents from one document type to another in CMS Desk (without using the SQL Import tool). This is especially useful when upgrading/overhauling/rearchitecting older Kentico websites.

  15. Can we get a Microsoft Edge specific body class instread of the 'Chrome' and 'Safari' classes?

    Hi Kentico,

On https://docs.kentico.com/k10/developing-websites/designing-websites-using-css there is a table with the body classes that are generated based on the browser the client is viewing the project in.

Can you explain why the Microsoft Edge browser and the Google Chrome browser bot get the Chrome and Safari body class. Why isn't a Microsoft Edge specific class generated and is this maybe something you can add in the near future? It would be great to have a 'Edge' class or something like that.

    Best regards,
    Sander Bras

  16. media library workflow & versioning

Add versioning and workflow for media library items.

Media libraries management is a bit limited compared to other content, to make them more usable a simple submit / approve workflow would go a long way. When you have a large number of content editors items can appear and disappear from the media library with no audit trail to understand what happened.
Even just logging who uploaded an item would be helpful.

  18. Preview pages in CMSDesk as "not authenticated" or as a selected other role.

With permissions, security or web part settings some pages can look different to different users. When logged in as Administrator, If you want to view a page and see what it looks like to people that haven't logged in, you can't unless you log out. Logging out logs you out of CMSDesk too, so you have to log back in again to make an amend.

Also you can't easily confirm "edit", "delete", "add new" buttons are only showing to the right users because Global Administrator sees everything all the time.

I would like to have view options in the preview…

  19. Add scrollWheel property to Google Maps (and more if possible)

The current Google Maps webpart does its thing, but does not include all the possible options you set onto a google-map.
Most of the options currently available are the options you'll generally use, but it is missing one. An that is a very important one imo, and that option is: scrollWheel.

The scrollWheel option allow you to enable/disable zooming with the scrollwheel of your mouse. This is a boolean and defaults to true.
Nowadays, it is more common to have map element on a page that is so big that it can span the entire page. If you, in such…
